NINE WAYS IN, ONE FLOOR

Nine ways in, and denim is only one of them. Jeans, t-shirts, shirts, shorts, pants, hoodies and sweatshirts, sweat pants and shorts, jackets and knitwear all sit under the same men's collection, and the grid mixes them rather than filing them apart.

In the brand's own vocabulary it reads differently. Ekcess tees in deep dive and tru white. Halen zip hoodies and short sleeves in charcoal fade. Synthesis trak pants and shorts in charcoal, espresso and deep dive. The Sott slouchy bomber in raw, and 4x4 Luxe across tees, shorts and pants.

Denim sits under all of it. Van Winkle, Maxx, Bronko, Vorteks and the Oh G jacket, cut in Kaliba, Billy Blue Skool, Re-Up Blue and Flocked Tobacco. The full run is in men's denim if that is what you came for.

Where to start:

  • Denim first, Van Winkle, Maxx and Bronko carry the fits, and the wash is the decision rather than the cut.
  • Trak sets, Synthesis trak pants and trak shorts come in the same colorway as the tees they sit under.
  • Outerwear, The Oh G jacket and the Sott slouchy bomber are the two shapes the season is built around.
  • Knitwear and shirting, The quiet end of the floor, and the part most streetwear grids skip.

Nine categories, one register. Nothing here needs explaining.

THE KSUBI CODE

The Ksubi code is the brand's own name for what recurs across every piece: branded anti-silver hardware, the signature T-box, 3x4 cross embroidery, woven pocket tags and removable back-pocket tags. It is what makes a piece a Ksubi piece rather than a black tee with a name in it.

The marks have stated jobs. The pocket flag sits on the back right pocket of every jean. The 4x4 patch is a hero on all jeans and doubles as a graphic device, which is most of what the 4x4 Luxe run is doing here. SOTT, the Sign of the Times mark, is the heritage logo and runs across apparel.

None of it is decoration you can specify out, and it is why the same silhouette in the same wash from anywhere else is not the same jean. If you want the fits named before you choose, the men's fit guide runs them in order.

Wear it hard and make it Ksubi.
