Every fit Ksubi cuts in men's jeans sits on this page: skinny, slim, straight, bootcut, barrel and baggy. Start from the leg you want and work back to the wash rather than the other way round. PICK YOUR LEG ++
SIX FITS. ONE DENIM.
The fits are not six versions of the same jean. They are six different arguments about where the volume should sit.
Skinny and slim hold the leg close and let the wash do the talking, which is why the heavily treated finishes tend to land there first. Straight and bootcut keep a constant line from the knee down. Barrel curves out through the thigh and pulls back in at the ankle. Baggy drops the whole leg and sits away from the body entirely.
Underneath all six the denim carries the same intent. Rigid enough to hold its shape, broken in through wear rather than shortcut, and finished in small runs so the washes vary from pair to pair. The Van Winkle and the Chitch are the two most people know, and they sit at opposite ends of that range.
Choosing between them:
- Leg opening first, it changes the look far more than the rise does.
- Rigid breaks in, the raw finishes move with wear and do not start soft.
- Wash is per run, no two pairs of one fit finish identically.
- Size to the fit, a baggy and a skinny will not take the same number.
